The San Francisco Paid Parental Leave Ordinance (SF PPLO) is a law that requires employers who have employees working in San Francisco to provide additional compensation to an SF worker who is receiving California PFL benefits to bond with a new child up to 100% of their normal weekly pay during 8 weeks of paid leave. NOTE: This is for bonding with a new child only and the new parent must work in San Francisco for an employer with twenty or more employees to qualify for this supplemental compensation.
